Am I wrong on the issue of Global Warming and the Environment?
We can%26#039;t dig up greenhouse gases (carbon), release them into the atmosphere (emissions), and expect the planet not to a warmer greenhouse (global warming).
I%26#039;m a plain-n-simple, common sense guy. My wife says that it make me a piss-poor romantic, but it helps me see things clearly.
Here%26#039;s how I see it...
I prefer clean air/water over dirty. It makes sense to reuse, recycle, and reduce what we can %26amp; encourage manufacturers to do the same.
It makes sense to pay less for energy by using technologies that already exist %26amp; stop relying on oil companies that have themselves in their own best interest %26amp; countries that don%26#039;t like us.
We live by the golden rule with each other, why not with the earth? What you take from the earth you should give back. Don%26#039;t take what you don%26#039;t need, and do unto the planet as you%26#039;d have the planet do unto you.
Whether global warming is our own doing or not, we%26#039;re all living like there%26#039;s no tomorrow and it just doesn%26#039;t make sense to me.
Am I right or wrong?
IF people would form groups from schools, churches etc. and get salvage licenses and extract the sands of time that man has never touched forever and collect all the treasures they find, in india they discovered a old stone temple under the sands of time near their beach, why not you. have a nice day.
Acception knowledge
You are right, but I doubt that enough people will deny themselves luxury in order to save the planet when it won%26#039;t affect them significantly during their lifetime. I fear that the only real way we can do anything is to reduce the global human population, but the probability of that happening before it%26#039;s too late is so small I%26#039;m more likely to see Jesus on the train to college. If there were less of us we would need fewer resources and the planet may be able to sustain us, but there aren%26#039;t, so it won%26#039;t. The world is going to change substantially. Realistically the amount any individual can do to prevent this is negligible.
I agree with your opinion. Especially, that we should use resources that are readily available to us. I believe we should be using water as our main energy source. Congress is not taking the steps necessary to correct the problems that are devastating families and small businesses. eg. gas prices/ a need for a resolution. Two mom and pop gas stations in my area have already ran out of gas because they cannot afford to maintain it. These entrepreneurs are the backbone of our country. That being said..the planet it like anything else. It is going to sustain normal wear and tear. You can%26#039;t expect to use something for millions of years and have it in the condition that it was given to you. To make even a small change in the condition of the environment would mean that everyone on the planet would have to collaborate and work for the same cause. In my lifetime, I have never seen that happen. Sad, but true.
