Are You Gonna Sign Up For Earth Hour? Who here signed up for Earth hour? On March 29 2008 at 8:00 PM turn off your lights for one hour to show your support to end global warming.

Just to set the record straight, I am a firm believer in global warming, climate change, saving power, consuming less and looking after the planet.
However during the day of the most recent Earth hour in Australia, electricty consumption actually INCREASED!! because (get this) human beings are so selfish as a group that most of them thought that if they are going to have no power for an hour they would all boil the kettle first just incase they wanted a cup of tea, turn the fridge up so then it got super cold so they could turn it off for an hour, charge fones and batteries %26#039;just in case%26#039;, do extra emailing to make up for no mail for an hour etc etc. Sad but true.
