Can science be used to predict who wins the world cup, world series, or superbowl? Can science be used to predict what the climate will be any time in the future?
If you think science can predict the future, could you plaese post the formula or method you used so others can view your work?

The future as a whole, no (too many immeasurable variables at play, not to mention the vast number of them); the outcome of a particular system, when all variables at play are known and measurable, yes.
Take chemistry for example. Chemists can predict 100% what the formula of the products will be just by knowing the reactants, before the experiment even takes place.
dumdum: I know, climate can%26#039;t be observed in a controlled experiment. That doesn%26#039;t mean, however, that the value of the prediction is entirely negated. You can still learn quite a bit about climate and its corresponding variables in an open system.
So my answer is yes. Global climate change related science is, as in all fields, a work in progress. Will the predictions be 100% accurate? No, not always, of course not.
I think you%26#039;ve beaten this one into the ground. -
They can predict all they want but I sure wouldn%26#039;t be betting my fortune on their prediction. Someone suggest we have a complete understanding of the climate systems. What planet do these people live on?

Sure. For example, science can predict where Mars will be many years in the future with very high accuracy.

No, the future does not read math texts.

Yes science can be used to predict the future. The future will be horrible and science predicted it with global warming
