yep, its going to be difficult. but we have lost half (really!) the carbon from world soils in 50 years, so there must be room for putting it back again on a similar timescale.i have been composting an adding char from my rubbish woodburner for years, only just realised i am now at cutting edge of modern agriculture ;-)
