naturally, any change in the climate will cause the dominance of vegetation species that can adapt to it. for ex: if the change in climate provides less rainfall, then only drought-tolerant plants will survive hence, changing the plant cover (provided that time is not a limiting factor)

Diseases will spread north. A weedlike shrub that I%26#039;ve been trying to get rid of for years suddenly died out a few years ago. Not just in one place, but in surrounding towns where I%26#039;ve seen it. Not a bad event in itself, but what plant will go next; sugar maples, christmas tree farms?

Vegetation will expand its range toward the poles. The vegetation that requires cooler weather will shrink in range. Canadian wheat farmers will be happy. Reindeer herders may not.

Well, lets take a look at Australia for example, no rain there for a very long time.....the effects on the vegetation speak for itself.
