The whole purpose of renewable energy technology and conservation is not to speed up the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
An analogy to this would be the following...
Analogy 1. If the earth was heating up 5 degrees every 100 years *with* human made technology.
Analogy 2. The earth was heating up 1.5 degrees every 100 years *without* human made technology.
Once again global warming is inevitable *but* the contribution to it is a *choice* by the use of non-renewable energy technology made by humans. 40% 2 Votes
