How did the question mark end up there at my title? And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

EVERY major scientific organization has issued an official statement that this is real, and mostly caused by us. The National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Physics, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Association, etc.
Now, there are some people who exaggerate the effects. It won%26#039;t be a Hollywood movie style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.
I feel that naturally the earth%26#039;s climate will change, I mean, the iceage for example was not because cavemen had cars sending gas up into the atmosphere creating tons of temperature changes... but maybe that was part of it.... I think that we do need to treat our earth with more respect, but it was loaned to us to use. We shouldn%26#039;t not be living because there are fish who are being killed, but we shouldn%26#039;t use more than we need. it%26#039;s a delicate balance and I%26#039;m not sure we%26#039;ll ever find it, but we sure can try.
