How does this blow the Global Warming theory out of the water?

@Cactus Flower: But as far as the part of Global Warming that states humans are the cause for it, and they are destroying the Earth.Obviously not true, because the amount of greenhouse gasses humans put out in the last 200 years was just put out in about two days by nature...

The theory of global warming states that human activity is accelerating the warming, not that we are the only cause. Do you actually believe that you are smarter than all the hundreds of scientists in the world who study global warming?
Did you even READ the article you linked to? It does not say ANYTHING about the level of greenhouse gas released by the eruption as compared to human created levels. However, the article does say this:
%26quot;But the possibility of the Chaiten volcano affecting Earth%26#039;s climate is probably fairly low, experts said.
So far, Chaiten has emitted only a few thousand tons of sulfur dioxide, %26quot;which is very small,%26quot; said Simon Carn, a University of Maryland-Baltimore volcanologist who uses satellites to measure volcanic gases.
In general, a volcano must spew at least 1 million tons of sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere to have a global effect on climate, said Alan Robock, a Rutgers University professor who co-authored a book on the subject.%26quot;
Are you for real?
So, no, global warming is still scientific fact. -
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) is not a greenhouse gas. Instead, it reflects sunlight back out into space causing a negative radiative forcing (just the opposite of greenhouse gases).
The amount released, thus far, is dwarfed (by at least 1000-times) both by the amount released in the 1991 Mt. Pinatubo and the United States annual release of about 20 million tons into the air. -
well man global warming is much more serious than were lead to believe. The media is clearly covering it up. It%26#039;s more than just car causing this it%26#039;s the industries. The effects of global warming are happing right now, I%26#039;m from Texas and this winter we had less days of winter this year and every year it become less. It%26#039;s hotter out side and the icebergs are melting at a very fast rate, Believe the media if you want but we all know how misleading the media can be

You are right Bob it seems they are not even bothering to read the links they are posting anymore.
further to your comment, sulfur dioxide is mentioned in the story as a cool effect not a greenhouse gas.
And Cosnipa%26#039;s comment about 200 years is just stupid
Volcanic output of Co2 from Volcano%26#039;s is ~200-240 million tons per year human Co2 output is currently ~27 BILLION tons and only going up.
In other words (for those fixating on cows) it takes volcano%26#039;s 112-135 years to put out the same amount of Co2 we are currently producing in 1 year. -
This question, and answers are a pretty good example of the whole issue, deniers present word of mouth and a link that proves their question wrong. Or waffle on about Koolaid and cows. And ignore any real facts presented like the actual ratio of volcanic to manmade Co2.
I%26#039;ve not heard of anybody wanting to kill all the cows, I think cindy might have been sipping the Koolaid she is always going on about. Psst cindy, I think most of them die anyway before going into burgers and steaks. -
You didn%26#039;t even read the article you posted. Nowhere in the article was there a reference to CO2, only sulfur dioxide, which could have a cooling effect if there was enough released into the atmosphere.
How are you able to justify in your mind the outright lies you post? And Cindy is still beyond left field! -
Yes, the volcano contributes to the greenhouse gasses, but that does not make Global Warming invalid. The greenhouse gases were a problem before the vocano erupted.
-
Where in the article did it state more greenhouses gasses and matter in the air than the last 200 years combined?

It sounds like you%26#039;re surprised that, upon studying ACTUAL evidence, it shows anthropogenic global warming to be a total crock. That%26#039;s what scientists have been telling us for years.
