Global warming question? Hey, everyone. I%26#039;m doing a power point for my Honors World Affairs class on global warming. I have two questions I need some help with:
1. What are the basic beliefs of those who support global warming?
2. Is there a name for someone who supports the notion of global warming? Like a stupid nickname of sorts?

Any and all help is appreciated!

By %26quot;beliefs%26quot;, I mean what do pro- global warmers take as fact, like scientifically.

CO2 (being a heavier molecule) SINKS to the ground or water to be absorbed. The amount of wind needed to keep CO2 into %26#039;higher atmospheres%26#039; is not always available or consistent
= so CO2 will not remain high enough to %26#039;reflect%26#039; heat, but it will retain a small amount of heat at near surface level.

How CO2 SINKS to the Ground:
http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/Hazards/What/V...
%26quot;Carbon dioxide gas is heavier than air and the gas can flow into in low-lying areas; breathing air with more than 30% CO2 can quickly induce unconsciousness and cause death. In volcanic or other areas where CO2 emissions occur, it is important to avoid small depressions and low areas that might be CO2 traps. The boundary between air and lethal gas can be extremely sharp; even a single step upslope may be adequate to escape death.%26quot; 38% 3 Votes

does that qualify as %26quot;a stupid nickname%26quot;? 13% 1 Vote
  • What do you mean %26quot;beliefs%26quot;? if you call a melting ice pack at the poles, or islands in the Pacific that either already HAVE disappeared or WILL disappear in the next 10 years, or the 1/3 of the devils playground in Ireland that is already under water... then I guess that is a %26quot;belief%26quot;... but I%26#039;d call it a FACT. 25% 2 Votes
