• Global warming will not cause any economic disasters; history has shown that warmer temperatures create prosperity. During the Roman Warming Period and the Medieval Warming, increased farm production due to longer growing seasons led to accelerated economic growth.
  
  That being said, the hysteria over the myth of man-made global warming will lead to both economic and humanitarian catastrophes, including:
  
  1. High taxation- proposed carbon taxes will transfer large amounts of wealth from working people to the political classes.
  
  2. Pollution- as oil and coal become more difficult to use due to legal constraints, people will resort to dirtier fuels such as wood and animal dung.
  
  3. Famine- restrictions on energy use in the developing world will hinder agricultural production.
