Have you noticed that only the? lunatic fringe denies global warming? Even McCain admits that we MUST act now to slow the emissions of greenhouse gases. I think the problem is that the deniers have been denying global warming for so long it has become an issue of pride for them. Admitting they were SO wrong, SO misled, and SO lied to is just too embarrassing for them.

EVERY major scientific organization has issued an official statement that this is real, and mostly caused by us. The National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Physics, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Association, etc.
