How can I cash in and make money off of global warming (the hype)? This is a free economy right? There is tremendous hype about it (whether or not it is rightful hype I don%26#039;t know), and I figure that I should put my Mechanical Engineering degree to work and make money off of that hype.

Plus you seem to forget that all people having developped wind turbines and solar cells worked hard during years at losses! (oil has not always been at 100$ per barrel).

Start an investment company that sells stock in %26quot;green%26quot; companies and carbon credits, then make a movie that shows how doomed we are because of global warming. If you really want to up the stakes; get a bill passed that mandates everyone buys a product from one of the companies you represent.
