1 - from London (UK) to Amsterdam in Holland and back again (3-day trip)
2 - from London (UK) to Lodz in Poland and back again (3-day trip)
3 - from London (UK) to Hyderabad in India and back again (4-weeks trip)
How do I work out my total carbon footprint for these 3 journeys and what can I do to neutralise it? When I look online I get a different estimate from every website and I know I can buy %26#039;credits%26#039; to offset the footprint but how do I know whether these companies are for real and what they will spend my money on?
Any ideas? Thanks
as for the calculators, there is a great deal of variability between them, heres a study i was recently sent;

The schemes that actually will make a difference of course turn out to cost a lot more, to the point at which it isn%26#039;t a %26#039;painless%26#039; sacrifice for the environment.
Don%26#039;t worry about CO2 from aviation all that much though, it%26#039;s a minor source and there%26#039;s not really much that we can do to about it that isn%26#039;t already being done (though London-Amsterdam might be doable by high speed train). 13% 2 Votes
