Truth be told, there is a lot of global concern about China%26#039;s carbon footprint. And there should be. Global environmental organisations are starting to focus their attention on the fact that a hugely disproportionate amount of global production occurs in China (and Taiwan), which produces huge amounts of greenhouse gas emissions, despite the fact that China%26#039;s economy does not yet parallel the consumption levels of the UK, USA and Australia (to name a few).So to address your question - yes China is being critized, but not as loudly as they should because the media knows that China won%26#039;t listen. 50% 2 Votes

We live in the USA, and we are the number one polluter in the world, we are also the most influenced by corporations, and we dont have as many fuel efficient and alternative fuel vehicles as compared to china. Beijing may be dirty, but we are still the number one polluter, and Im sure parts in the USA are just as dirty as Beijing. In China the government controls things, in the USA coporations run the show and leave their footprints left and right, and politics is too weak to take a step above money.

although i dont necessarily agree with the carbon footprint crap, i do understand that these people who complain about how dirty the air is here are embarrassed on what harm they have done to their own country. THey believe that they must start somewhere, and by reducing their footprint in their native land is a great start.

Because it would hurt their wallets. We are evil because we refused to sign the Kyoto treaty, but most of the world didn%26#039;t sign either, so why are we to blame?
If liberals care about the environment, unplug all the light bulbs in Las Vegas, stop watering their lawns in L.A. and Hollywood, because the whole area is a desert, always have been. Stop riding limos, stop buying huge mansions, stop flying in jets, but they don%26#039;t and never will. They%26#039;re hypocrites.
