How does recycling help stop global warming? i recycle but i dont understand how it helps stop global warming. is there anything else i can do to help? thanks :) This is a very cool little piece of recycling equipment that actually turns out terrific potting soil.

If you follow these suggestions, you should have a bin for plastics, metals, electronics, and a composter for your organic material. This is about as green a setup as you can get without going way over the top. Hope this was helpful.
  • All manufactured good require energy to produce, from a car to a plastic bag. Any time you reuse on you are saving that amount of energy, and the pollution that comes out of producing the energy. Finding uses for worn out things (like old tires) also helps. The example the gentleman gave about Aluminum is a fine example, because some things cost much more to produce from scratch than from recycling. As I%26#039;m sure you know, it is about much more than how we handle trash.
  • I doesn%26#039;t. Recycling preserves certain resources for reuse but it takes energy to accomplish this. Transportation by individuals or santiation trucks requires gasoline. Recycling facilities run on electricity or other fuels to convert the reclaimed items into a useable form. This tradeoff will exist until we find a better source of energy.
  • Recycling uses less stuff. It also means less emissions, which means less greenhouse gases. At least, that%26#039;s the current theory.
  • it means less crap in the landfills.
and the wildlife like ducks,don%26#039;t get plastic rings stuck around their neck if people would just frickin recycle already
  • For example, If you buy a bottle of water at the store it has actually taken 5 of those bottles of water just to produce the bottle. That%26#039;s not including the fact that the plastic comes from crude oil in the Middle East. By recycling that one bottle, you are keeping the plastic in use rather than filling a landfill and ending that bottles usefulness. Everything you recycle lessens the natural resources that must be used and keeps the energy used in production down. Recycling is not the best solution though because it isn%26#039;t a 100% no-energy process. Reusing items you would normally trash or opting out of buying another water bottle when you could fill the one at home saves way better than recycling.
  • The simple answer is it doesn%26#039;t help stop %26#039;global warming%26#039; by recycling!

Although the fanatical lunatics believe that it cuts down on CO2 gas emissions, which they believe to be the cause of %26#039;Global Warming%26#039;.

I have recycled everything that is possible for most of my life, at least 35 years now, and long before it was fashionable to do so.
The reason I recycle is not to %26#039;save the planet%26#039;, but because I detest any type of waste.
It is far more energy efficient to melt down an existing product than it is to produce it from the natural ore.

I encourage everyone to recycle. I would also like to challenge anyone to beat my record of only putting out 3 plastic garbage bags in 3 years.
  • It reduces the amount of trash that are being dumped into those landfills, you know those tall hills that are full of garbage, they are usually burned which add huge amount of green house gases into the air which makes global warming even worse.

Another thing that people are doing is being more careful about leaving things turned on like the television, computer, and the lights. A lot of people are taking time away from the television, and instead, they are spending more time outdoors. Now, more people are even riding busses, walking to school, and riding their bikes to lower the amount of greenhouse gases in the air. Planting trees also helps.
