process, and also can lead to natural selection starting to travel down unexpected new paths. Does anyone have any good examples of how changes to climate could spur on natural selection? (Note: I%26#039;m not talking about behavioural changes, but rather physical/evolutionary changes).

The first thing that comes to mind are life/breeding cycles, and morphology. Climate conditions can influence both the good and bad attributes of certain insect species. The question is whats going to be a predominate grouping in relationship to prey verse predator. One example would be are frogs going to be larger because of more mosquitoes? Certain plants might thrive while others may be displaced, it still can be a repetitive cycle. As most natural selection is due to the sun%26#039;s background radiation. But can also happen with natural hybridizing.

Just one example are the Polar Bears.
They need sea ice to hunt and survive, now that the sea ice is disappearing rapidly the will either have to search or adapt to new feeding methods or die.
Also since Ocean temperatures are rapidly changing, coral reefs are disappearing changing the entire marine fish and animals which are food and shelter for them will also have adopt, which will no doubt change fisheries. Ocean studies... -
