Human Extinction? All in all we have always wondered what will happen to our human race, but when will the time come when we die out? Prophets from long ago including ancient civilizations always predicted the end date for our earth and further existence will be 2012, but that may not be so. Is there any way that we as a whole world can possibly drastically stop the effects of global warming, or will we continue on our way, with the people who care for the envioronment and the people who believe that global warming is simply an idea.

Well even if everyone did do everything right, recycle, ride bikes instead of cars, etc. I still believe global warming would happen. Sure slow down, but it would still occur. I think it%26#039;s too late.

Humanity is not going to become extinct. And your question belongs in myths and folclore--this forum is based on science, not fables.

No animal in the history of the world has been able to not go extinct. Humans will be no different.

I gather from the wording of your question you do not read the Bible or believe in it. I do. God created the earth, it goes in cycles, always has, always will - until such time as He choses to end it. The book of Revelation describes things that will happen as we approach the end but a date is not given and only God knows that time.

Global warming is not something we can stop. We are expected to take care of the earth- the garden He gave us to live in just as we are expected to take care of our bodies, as He instructs us. All we need to know in life, in relationships, in governing, all is found in the New Testament, but sadly not everyone reads and follows it.

If you believe humans are responsible for Global Warming, you will have to concede we did most of the damage over the last 200 years. Out of 4 billion total, or whatever the Religious text you read says. It%26#039;s a very small amount of time to increase the global temp. If it is in fact our fault, we need to quit using electricity, computers, and oil right now. We won%26#039;t do that, so enjoy it while you can. 50 years ago we didn%26#039;t possess the technology to get accurate data on climate change. Now we have more sensors and they are more sensitive and more accurate. This data wasn%26#039;t available to scare us 20 years ago.
So if it%26#039;s us, we done messed it up. If everyone quit using electricity and burning hydrocarbons, it would take many years to drop a degree. We are not that big of an influence in this galaxy folks, we give ourselves too much credit. We%26#039;ll be fine though, cheer up.
