  • I know nothing about the building industry, but I would have thought that if people can%26#039;t get mortgages and others who already have houses but want to move and who perhaps have the capital to buy outright, will get a depressed price for their house, so they would probably wait until the market improves.
    Office buildings are dependent on bank loans and we know that banks just won%26#039;t lend money.
    The Bank of England said recently that they forecast no improvement in growth next year. So, the immediate future looks a bit bleak for the building trade. 0% 0 Votes

  • Most builders are surviving on contract signed befor the so called %26quot;Cedit Crunch%26quot; (Who Invented that stupid term?) I believe we are talking ourselves into a recession. The Dollar %26amp; Euro are doing OK whilst the pound nosedives. So in the current climate your chances are not good Though this should not stop you from trying. Good luck in your quest. 33% 1 Vote
