If one hour per year makes such an impact, think about making a conscious effort to do it once a month...how much of an impact do you think that it would have if enough people started doing it that often...

This whole thing was a meaningless feel good stunt which accomplished nothing. Developing economically viable new energy sources requires hard work and not sitting around in the dark with candles singing Kumbaya and feeling superior.

This is the best because I agree that every hour is earth hour, however I do not agree that it was a meaningless stunt, because it helped to bring people together for one cause, and brought neutrality to various countries on this subject. In my opinion, this could be the beginnings of world peace.
