If people want us to help with global warming, why is everything that we can do to help so expensive?? Like hybrid cars, enery saving products, ect.

Because global warming is a great marketing ploy. Soon we%26#039;ll have to pay $3 for a light bulb we now pay 60 cents for, and when these new bulbs break, you need a Haz-Mat crew to clean up the mess. 30% 3 Votes

  • The hybrid car I bought last year was only slightly more expensive than a comparable non-hybrid. And with the current gas prices, I%26#039;ll recover that extra expense in under 3 years. The next 5 - 7 year I plan to own the car it will be saving me significant money.

The CFL%26#039;s I place in my house cost more than incandescent bulbs, but the energy I save and the number of years before I%26#039;ll have to replace them will save me money.

Paying a little extra to put more insulation in my home also cost more, but I recovered that extra money in 5 years.

So I%26#039;m not sure why you think everything we can do is so expensive. It%26#039;s a bit more upfront costs, but it saves money in the long run. 10% 1 Vote
  • Because global warming is nothing but a ploy! The earth goes thru cycles and we are in a warming cycle right now. It would go through this if humans were here or not and that is history!

As far as helping they don%26#039;t want to help they just want to scare you to try and get your vote.

As far as being expensive, because they don%26#039;t want to make it cheep then the oil companies would lose money! There have been cars made that ran on hydrogen, steam, solar NG, on and on it goes but the big car makers are in the same bed with oil companies. They even have tires that never wear out but the big tire companies bought those up too.

The rich just want to get richer at the poor%26#039;s expense. 0% 0 Votes
  • There are low-cost measures one can take to become %26quot;greener%26quot;, however, hybrid cars have not become widespread enough and easy enough to manufacture to lower the cost. The real question is how come low-fat cheese is more expensive than regular cheese even though they have the same number in a pack and the same container. 10% 1 Vote
  • It doesnt cost anything to study the facts about Climate change
(its no longer called Global Warming now scientists are speaking out %26amp; the public are waking up)
One of the ways TO KNOW climate Change (as we are being FEED) is NOT TRUE.

Since the 1800s we could have had Free Energy (name given to a perpetual motion, safer electricity)

Look up TESLA %26amp; very recently 2 Irishmen redicovered it again %26amp; an Australian a few months ago.

This energy would not require more harm to the environment, We have NEVER needed to pollute with petroleum products %26amp; much much more. Check it out %26amp; pass it on. The world desparately needs educated people.
The more who know the less these people can get away with.

Why havent Govts around the world provided the public with Water tanks if they are so worried or at least cancelled the need for expensive permits....encouraged people to put in gardens for food shortages.

No they are not worried...this so called Climate change is simply a depopulation program.... a means to price people out of their homes for the UN to take them over.

Can you imagine the type of mind of those who would do this. NO %26amp; thats what they are counting on.
It would be kinder (%26amp; cheaper) to put a bullet in our heads.
Look around Answers for more global warming answers. Put Rockefeller, HAARP, CHEMTRAILS, etc in SEARCH.
Those who criticise %26amp; condemn come in 4 catagories.
Ignorant. afraid %26amp; evil or one of them (NWO) they cant back up their criticism.
Please look into this %26amp; pass it on. The more who know the less they can get away with. 10% 1 Vote
  • If you think doing something is expensive, consider the cost of doing nothing.

Seen the price of gas lately? You know why it%26#039;s so high? Because we haven%26#039;t been doing anything serious to change our energy policy in this country since Reagan was elected. Result: increased demand for gasoline, price rises through the roof.

Hybrid cars are not much more expensive than gasoline cars., but they save you nearly $1000 per year in gas. More importantly, if we had all been driving hybrids for the last 20 years, gas itself would be a whole lot cheaper. 10% 1 Vote
  • Any amount of money spent to combat so called global warming (climate change...whatever comes next) is a waste of your hard earned cash. Don%26#039;t bother.
However...combatting pollution is another entirely different matter so recycling is important. Keep your car well tuned, dispose of chemicals properly, you%26#039;ll save not only energy but money by using electrical things less. 0% 0 Votes
  • My husband and I have been %26#039;ecologically sound%26#039; since BEFORE this latest attention has been paid to %26#039;global warming%26#039; ... and it is NOT %26#039;expensive%26#039; for us at all. We do not own a car, we don%26#039;t rent a car ... we take the bus, except for one cab ride every 2-4 weeks to do the grocery shopping ... I take the bus to the store and the cab home. Even giving the driver a %26#039;greater than normal%26#039; tip (I know they don%26#039;t like grocery runs, but they do all know my name because I tip so well) it%26#039;s only $15. That makes our %26#039;total transportation costs%26#039; per month something under $100. If you drove a car every day, you could use that much gas in two days now ... easily. We don%26#039;t buy a lot of %26#039;junk%26#039; but we save our money and buy the things we really want ... we live in a very inexpensive apartment (and have no plans on moving until one of us can%26#039;t climb those stairs because it%26#039;s RIDICULOUSLY inexpensive, and the walking up and down those stairs is GOOD EXERCISE). We don%26#039;t read the newspaper except on Sunday (which we buy for the coupons and weekly TV listings, so it %26#039;pays for itself%26#039; and then some) ... we don%26#039;t talk on the phone all the time (we have cell phones that we can call 911 for in case of an emergency, though ... we pay $20 every three months for that), and we do own THE BEST COMPUTERS ... my husband is a professional web developer and he knows how to build them so we have the best %26#039;cases%26#039; that will last for at least 15 more years, and all of the %26#039;best stuff%26#039; ... in short, we live very %26#039;frugally%26#039; but think it%26#039;s that %26#039;take the bus%26#039; attitude we have that saves us the most money and time ... no parking at home, no parking at work, no mechanic bills, no tire bills, no gasoline bills ... and NO HEADACHES. Yes, we DO have %26#039;energy saving appliances%26#039; .. they save us money on the electric bill, and pay for themselves by the time they%26#039;re halfway %26#039;aged%26#039; to the point of needing new ones. IN SHORT, we %26#039;save%26#039; by being %26#039;ecologically sound%26#039; because we didn%26#039;t %26#039;wait%26#039; for it to get POPULAR ... my grandfather told me to %26#039;watch what I do%26#039; as far as using any %26#039;power%26#039; including gasoline, and %26#039;littering, making garbage%26#039; in 1953 and I have ALWAYS done that. My husband loves it, too ... I%26#039;m sorry if you feel %26#039;taken%26#039; but you may deserve to pay since you %26#039;polluted%26#039; for so long. Think about it and SIMPLIFY your own life ... for the LIFE of this planet.
