Is global warming going to end the world? such as the sea level rising and glaciers falling?

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

No it will not end the world, man or even civilization. It may cause a few adjustments, but we will change and be just fine. Don%26#039;t believe the gloom and doom end of the world fiction disguised as documentaries. 40% 2 Votes

  • That all depends. The question you must ask yourself is Global Warming Real? Take into account the constant rise and fall of tempature over Millions of Years. I personally believe The Warming of the Earth is cyclic. %26quot;Do humans to some degree have an effect on the warming?%26quot; Yes, but it%26#039;s not the sole reason.

The Warming of the Earths surface, once it reaches a certain point obviously will make the inhabiting the earth for humans impossible. But will it destroy earth?

No, the Earth through time will eventually cool and return to a state for living organsims to sustain life. (But who knows some other biotic or abiotic factor may destroy the earth long before global warming does) 0% 0 Votes
  • What is it with certain groups of people that has to have a end of the world scenario. There are religious groups that live for this stuff, now we have some scientific groups, special interest groups, even political groups thriving on this stuff. If anything our lack of compassion towards one another and mistreatment of other will be the downfall of humanity and the earth will go on. Teenagers ganging up on one person and putting it on the Internet, we have no sense of human values and decency. If we disagree with some one lets call them idiots, moron, evil, or accuse them of being liars. Maybe its time we start treating each other with respect and working together and each of us sacrificing to help one another. What a novel idea, humans acting humane. 0% 0 Votes
  • I%26#039;m in the midst of reading %26quot;Field Notes from a Catastrophe: Man, Nature, and Climate Change,%26quot; by Elizabeth Kolbert. I highly recommend it.

Life will change. For some, it already has. If you%26#039;re an Intuit hunter, and you see a robin -- something you don%26#039;t have a word for because it was never part of your world -- you worry that your children may not have a future. 0% 0 Votes
  • no, during the middle ages global warming triggered a stall in the main current in the Atlantic that cools the earth when this happened it caused to earth to go in to a mini ice age this cycle has been going on for about as many years as the planet has been around 0% 0 Votes
  • I don%26#039;t think it may have a negative effect on the earth, and of course on us. But I believe the world would end when a very large asteriod would hit it. That%26#039;s when there%26#039;s no more world coz it would just be matters floating in space.... 0% 0 Votes
  • No. Life will carry on. Remember that the early atmosphere of the Earth would have been poisonous to us living today. So regardless of how the earth changes, life will find a way to evolve and continue on. 0% 0 Votes
  • guess it will not, the world evolves. the earth changes, and the inhabitants adapt. maybe in 20 yrs time fur coats will go out in style and havianas slippers will sure hit the market as nike did...who knows? 0% 0 Votes
