Is global warming real? Everyone knows something is going on, that the weather is changing radically, especially those of us old enough to remember what it’s like when it’s normal. But how many people know there are other theories on what causes weather patterns to change?

Global warming is an unproven theory of how CO2 builds up in the atmosphere warming the whole planet at once, which then can be turned back from because it takes a hundred years for it to break down in the atmosphere. But the same climatologist who came up with this theory who was Al Gore’s closest adviser when writing “An Inconvenient Truth,” Jim Hansen, has an alternate theory where he says CO2 would not effect global warming but we would rather experience regional weather pattern changes on a global scale caused by pollutants interacting with water vapor and the suns rays in the atmosphere.

What he means is that pollutants would change the nature of water vapor causing radical changes in how it acts under normal conditions. This is actually a proven theory. Under this scenario, a particular community could stop its global warming symptoms by policing certain kinds of pollutants while another region could still experience them if they didn’t do anything about it.

As a writer, I’m finding it very hard to get the message out that there are other theories on what causes weather pattern changes, some that are considered fact. Do you think the public is being given limited access to the theories on global warming as part of a design on how to best portray it politically or because most people wouldn’t understand the complexities of the whole story?

In Tabasco recently ,over a million people were homeless over night because of downpours from super evaporation over Chiapas

But it did not make the American News

a few years ago 3000 people died in Europe related to Global warming

The average death toll is 15.000 annually.

the Water in the polar sea is toxic and the meat from fish and polar bears have very high Mercury levels, due to accumulated toxins from the melting ice.

algae are becoming invasive and killing coral reefs because of warmer waters
whilst other forms of plankton are dying out-

So yes there are a couple of problems

You sighted a lot of concerns I personally have such as the flood in Tabasco which happened when Central American states were switching from one gasoline additive to another which changed the pollution content of the atmosphere in the region. Thank you for so many sources.

  • Yes, but how much is due to humans is uncertain.

Jim Hansen has been playing politics since 1976 and is not trustworthy.

He (and others) are looking for doomsday. They will find it under every rock.
  • We live on a living and breathing planet that has gone through it%26#039;s earth cycles of warming and cooling for eons. Mere humanity has as much chance to alter this cycle as he can walk on the sun. Enjoy the ride!
  • no yes
  • Fear based marketing. Look going green makes sense for everybody. It%26#039;s just the right thing to do.But seriously the earth goes through these natural heating and cooling cycles, its happened before it%26#039;ll happen again. And why don%26#039;t the experts use the term greenhouse effect anymore? Suddenly its global warming, and it%26#039;s all our fault, the term is just too broad. The sun has always caused skin cancer, smfh not global warming. Choose to be green because It%26#039;s healthier and its gonna leave some recourses around for your kids, not because your scared sh**less your gonna spontaneously combust. Polar bears are cute but if nature doesn%26#039;t see fit to keep them around we still have coke commercials. sick of the media
  • I wouldn%26#039;t put much faith into what Dr. Hansen has to say. When it comes to global warming he has blinders on and is charging down a one way street seeking proof of his opinion.

All of the earth%26#039;s climate is caused by the sun. There is no other viable explanation. But weather patterns do change, and some people are obviously mistaking weather for climate. Climate changes naturally as it has for billions of years, and will continue to do so. There is nothing that man can do, including burning fossil fuels, to have any real impact on it.
  • Very simple our sun is a variable output star and when it damps down things get cold, when it ramps output up things get hot. The greenhouse effect keeps us from freezing at night during the cold periods and acts to keep excess heat out during hot periods. It is a balancing effect that makes life on this planet possible.

Extended growing periods allowing greater crop production providing more food. Reduced chances of getting chilled leading to less disease to cripple and kill people unless they are dumb enough not to hydrate themselves on hot days. Altogether populations grow and people are healthier during warm periods.

OH that is the answer, the AGW promoters have as their central theme over population. That want populations reduced worldwide by 3/4ters and that is what would happen if they weakened the green house effect dropping us into a severe ice age. Literally billions of people living today would either freeze or starve if they got the world temperature drop they want because they are looking at the 1800 world average as their target ideal temperature. Right at the worst of the little ice age.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
    H. L. Mencken
  • It%26#039;s real, it is scientifically proven. Global warming could cause dreadful diseases like skin cancer, heatstroke etc..
