What new %26quot;electronic%26quot; technology are you referring to? Compact fluroescent lightr bulbs, etc? More efficient designs?

Electronics alone will do not solve anything (and they demand lots of power, most of which we currently produce using means that emit carbon dioxide.

The opportunities electonics provide come through greater efficiency- particularly through control of mechancial devices. Electronic thermostats can operate a furnace much more efficiently than a traditional electro-mechanical one.

For anything however, there are costs. No, it is not efficient to go out and replace your lightbulbs wholesale. Adopting anything has high initial costs, which are only slowly recouped through enhanced efficiency. Gradual changeover of technology as needed is the most efficient way to go. 40% 2 Votes

• Yes, its worth it. But itts your money--if you want to keep wasting it on gas-guzzling cars, light bulbs tha tuse4-5 times as much energy as they need to, appliances tha twaste energy (and thus your money)--that%26#039;s your business.

  your anser is YES!!!! It will save you money too!! by buying compact floresent lightbulbs (which last 10 times longer and use way less energy) you will save money
