  the globe may have warmed 1 degree the last 100 years, but the earth is only 0.5 degrees above the ideal temprature of the earth, the last hundered years of the earth%26#039;s temprature have not exactly been ideal. (see, Global Cooling, Little Ice Age)
• You have to specify a time interval to answer this question. It has been generally warming for the last 10,000 years but maybe not for 10 years and certainly not for 10,000,000 years.
