Is the media pushing the Warming Climate idea? In the last few weeks there have been many shows on television that depict global warming. Why is the media so involved and only really giving one side of the story? Is it the politics involved?

Apparently other media organizations such as National Geographic may have higher standards for their science reporting, so you only get what%26#039;s reflected the bulk of the research, without the propaganda.

I%26#039;m not sure what you are referring to regarding the politics involve. In the U.S. both of the major political parties agree that global warming is happening, that man is influencing the current change, so something must be done about it. All of our presidential candiates have well documented statements to that effect. People trying to portray it as a %26quot;liberal%26quot; issue are simply trying to encourage people to have a knee-jerk reaction, not to think for themselves.

If Lake Mead goes dry (in as few as 6 years... 50% probable within 13 years), it will not be only the liberals from Las Vegas to Los Angeles who will have serious water supply issues.

So no, I wouldn%26#039;t say the media is pushing the warming climate idea, I%26#039;d say they may finally be reporting it accurately. Some news organizations may have stopped pushing the false appearance of two sides if they start to lose viewers as a result (as people get informed and resent being manipulated in that way). 20% 1 Vote

Hell yea. The media distorts any Global Warming claim as to make them laughable.

Polar bears are not dying out.
Penguins are not dying out.
Sea levels are increasing less than 3mm per year. (about the thickness of a piece of cardboard). Not 10 or 20 feet.
Glaciers are not all melting (some are growing, some are melting). The glaciers the left likes to use have been melting for more than 100 years.
No additional disease has been discovered.
No stronger or more frequent hurricanes/storms.
No vast heat records being set (just the normal records being occasionally broken).
The list goes on. Basically, when watching a tv show on global warming, realize that 99% of the story is BS. 20% 1 Vote

I would really have to disagree with that ideal.... and this is why. How is it that sooo many people can really be so blind as too what havoc we are wreaking on this planet. You have to look at the big picture of things. Life has a certain balance that has to be maintained. All of the polluting and destruction of natural resources will come with a price. It%26#039;s actually really sad that so many people want to ignore what will be our problem forever. It can only get worse. So, I guess my answer is No. The media isn%26#039;t pushing the climate warming idea. It makes itself apparent everyday that we continue to ignore it. 0% 0 Votes

Now, whoever does the wrong or where ever anything happens wrong, all the blames come on Mr. Blame%26#039;s shoulder :-)
%26#039;MEDIA%26#039; are Mr. Blame here! Sometimes they do TOO much, I agree, but not with a serious PROBLEM of Global Warming. The present generation may not feel or think at all the disasters ahead, but the Pundits%26#039;re really panicked by the incoming man-made destruction. Media are just preparing to let the people make alert or to do the right actions.

how is there 2 sides to this argument? when an alternative theory is published in a reputable journal such as science or nature then maybe we should consider showing both sides. until then its really a no brainier.

i think you are talking about docos and not news because there is always a new theory being published in the newspapers disproving AGW because it generates controversy and therefore ratings. 0% 0 Votes
