Metaphor for Climate Change? What is a good metaphor to describe climate change?

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

Several metaphors come to mind.
1) %26quot;Biggest Scam of the 21%26#039;st century%26quot;
2) %26quot;Rip Off%26quot;
3) %26quot;Science Abuse%26quot;
4) %26quot;Lunacy%26quot;

There are more that I could think of, but those were the first that came to my mind. 40% 2 Votes

  • The best metaphor would be the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...only it occurs over the course of lifetimes instead of a year. We were born during a %26quot;Summer%26quot;. We probably won%26#039;t live long enough to see the %26quot;Fall%26quot;, as it%26#039;s so many years away. Having such a short perception of global time-scales, it%26#039;s easy to see why many worry. If man%26#039;s lifespan were but a few hours, we%26#039;d fear the setting/rising of the sun, the gradual warming of the morning or the gradual cooling of the evening. 20% 1 Vote
