There is nothing that the UN has touched that hasn%26#039;t turned into an unmitigated disaster. Remember Rwanda? The UN ordered the general in charge of the peacekeeping force to do nothing for eight months while a million people were hacked to death.

No, they can%26#039;t even figure what to do when there%26#039;s a spat between two countries, let alone global warming. And I do not want them as a clearing house what is sure to be a giant tax hike to %26quot;pay%26quot; for my %26quot;carbon footprint.%26quot;

No. It%26#039;s politically infeasible and not the best approach.
The best approach is an international treaty like Kyoto, only better. We know how to do it better now. Countries like China and India need to be included.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Their curent proposals virtually guarantee a global increase in annual CO2 emissions. Clearly they aren%26#039;t competent to be put in charge of the situtation.

The UN is just a forum for nations to work together cooperatively. There will be international agreements, but they need not be reached in the UN.

You serious? First flood, volcano and they would run for shelter and cower. AFTER they tax all the western countries and leave the huge warmers China and India exempt.
-
Ohh yeah, god knows they did so well enforcing 12 years worth of resolutions against Iraq. The idiots at the UN can%26#039;t even find their butts with both hands.
-
Absolutely not!

. . . and given lots of budget to work with.

NO! The UN does not work... it needs to be scrapped and rebuilt.
