The gas prices are shooting up and my dad keeps saying %26quot;we can%26#039;t do that%26quot; and you know why.....hes afraid of the gas prices. do you think that if they keep shooting up people will start riding horses and riding bikes? hopefully thats what will happen, its the only way they will go down.
demand has to go down and supply go up in order for gas prices to drop, so yeah people will have to start car pooling, riding the bus, walking, biking, etc... in order for the message to get out there and reach the oil companies.
you must remember that it is %26quot;travel%26quot; time in th US and that helps gas prices go up as well. I think its crazy though, we are almost at $4 a gallon in Rhode Island now as well and we%26#039;ve been well below the national average for a long time now. I%26#039;m walking and carpooling 80% more now. F bush and his oil buddies. we all need to say the same thing.

This is the intent. Gas prices are high just because there is no political will to drill for it.

Politicians and the left want high prices to provide incentive for higher cost, and research dollars for alternative energy.

If oil was always at $10/bbl, we would have no incentive to move away from Saudi oil.

Until supply becomes greater then demand the prices will continue to rise. If Americans are willing to consume less fuel the prices will eventually come down. My only problem with the prices are that oil companies are making record profits and won%26#039;t they lower the profit margin to ease the burden on the folks?

theres an easy answer, the goverment doesent need to put at force towards alternet fuels because when gas prices finaly get unpayable then people with start the new industries that run off an alternet fuel. but not people wont ride bikes cause instead of that they will develope a new transportation fuel.

Well, at least it will stop the enormous amount of cars on the roads. And at least hopefully less pollution. I think people should ride their bikes especially if it is a short distance.

Yeah all these Global Warming liers and scam artists are driving up gas prices. Now they are rationing food because we have food shortages due to these idiots and their bio-fuels. All this reformulated gasoline is BS.
