Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth%26#039;s near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century, and its projected continuation.

Climate model projections summarized by the IPCC indicate that average global surface temperature will likely rise a further 1.1 to 6.4 °C (2.0 to 11.5 °F) during the twenty-first century.[1] The range of values results from the use of differing scenarios of future greenhouse gas emissions as well as models with differing climate sensitivity. Although most studies focus on the period up to 2100, warming and sea level rise are expected to continue for more than a thousand years even if greenhouse gas levels are stabilized. The delay in reaching equilibrium is a result of the large heat capacity of the oceans.[1]
Increasing global temperature will cause sea level to rise, and is expected to increase the intensity of extreme weather events and to change the amount and pattern of precipitation. Other effects of global warming include changes in agricultural yields, trade routes, glacier retreat, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors.
Remaining scientific uncertainties include the amount of warming expected in the future, and how warming and related changes will vary from region to region around the globe. Most national governments have signed and ratified the Kyoto Protocol aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but there is ongoing political and public debate worldwide regarding what, if any, action should be taken to reduce or reverse future warming or to adapt to its expected consequences. -
They are still many people who have just shut their eyes to what is happening to the Earth! Saying that man is not the cause behind global warming is just trying to bury the TRUTH. Man has sped up the process of Global Warming. This is why unpredictable calamities like Katrina ,Mumbai Floods Tsunami, other cyclones have taken place.
Global Warming has led to melting of polar ice caps and maybe in a hundred years or so polar bears wont have a habitat left!
Now how would man feel if he had no place to stay and just keep on swimming?
Scientists had predicted that because of the natural equilibrium being disturbed such untimely events would occur but isnt ignorance bliss so the people just decided that it is better to stay in the dark than to realise whats happening and spend a little energy and stop it from happening! -
I also think that Global Warming and Pollution is a terrible matter in the world. It is causing temperatures to go up, ocean levels rising because of icebergs melting. Today we are so focus on buying new cars with the latest features, but most cars emitt too many particulate matters and pollutants in the atmosphere. There are fuels called biofuels that are less harmful than the actual gas, petroluem, and alcohols, ect, but they take more energy to make than the actual energy the produce when you use them. So i think if we all stick together and make plans to overcome Global Warming we can help save the world.

What is the fuss all about,it is silly to think about Global Warming and Pollution as a big Global problem, the industry they do not want to know still they throw their industrial waste in the rivers and a lot of fish dies , It is no good getting people to listen to warnings To them its only money ,they want to make and nothing else.,they do not care about what it is happening to our weather so as i said in the beginning Whats the fuss all about when no body want to listen

Well, living with asthma and severe allergies Global Climate change has increased the effects.
The pollution in my area makes it hard for me to be outside, and mentally, I just can%26#039;t take it anymore. Hearing about all of these things that are going to happen like the extinction of certain animals, and the polar ice caps melting. It is all just so depressing. I have had to go on Prozac now, and I am seeing my shrink more and more.
But I was watching Boston Legal the other night and I guess this is my conclusion:

It%26#039;s not very nice to treat your home planet that way, is it? If you have guests over you don%26#039;t want them to trash the place. You would ask them to leave! And you wouldn%26#039;t invite them back anytime soon.
