No Gengi.Yes I understand the origins of both, I%26#039;m just wondering why they are suddenly a common post in this section.
Yes it%26#039;s a question. I know nobody will know for sure, but I%26#039;m interested in peoples thoughts. Could it be the kids themselves being that sloppy about their knowledge base?

No offense intended Byderule. I just happen to believe that if you use a lunar calendar certain dates will tend to fall out and that%26#039;s one of them. Solar calendars weren%26#039;t widely used until fairly recently.4 months ago
Oh and Byderule, I wasn%26#039;t passing judgement of the 2012 thing itself. I do think mixing it up with physical science is nonsense, but to each his own. Seeing people attribute it to the scientists or %26quot;believers%26quot; is troubling because its a red herring.* You must be logged into Answers to add comments. Sign in or Register.

Well, today%26#039;s youth in America are wrapped up in the 80%26#039;s for some un-Godly reason...most likely it%26#039;s their parents%26#039; nostalgia kicking in. The big environmental bogeyman of the 1980s was the hole in the ozone...so you%26#039;ve got indoctrinated parents sharing their knowledge with indoctrinated kids. What a great education system we have here!
The 2012 nonsense has been around for decades. Has to do with a dead culture%26#039;s calender ending that year. It%26#039;s only gathering steam as we get closer to it, just like the year 2000 was a %26quot;frightening%26quot; year. It was a big, round number! Oh no!!
the nonsense as you call it was started
,over 2000 years ago
so yes that is new compared to the real history
of humanity.
see Zacheria Sitchin for details on that
