I%26#039;m pretty sure the equator is the hottest part of the earth(the line around the center). It%26#039;s frequently close to the sun compared to other parts of the planet.

• Even though, when it %26quot;faces%26quot; the sun (in summer) the Northern Hemisphere/half/%26quot;side%26quot; is about 4 million miles further away from the sun than when the Southern Hemisphere/half/side %26quot;faces%26quot; the sun (their summer, the Northern%26#039;s winter), due to more land area, it is the location for the hottest temperatures recorded on the surface.
