B) The Southern Hemisphere warms more slowly than the Northern Hemisphere because it%26#039;s got more ocean as opposed to land (oceans absorb heat). This is an expected result which was predicted decades ago:

    It%26#039;s not as simple as that.

    Parts of Antarctica are growing (mostly the interior, likely due to the ozone hole), while others are shrinking alarmingly (yes, I%26#039;ll use the word) fast, like the Antarctic Peninsula.

    Overall, it%26#039;s shrinking a bit these days, although not as fast as the Arctic. Which is not surprising to climatologists, who have explained why. See Dana%26#039;s answer for details. 11% 2 Votes
