Now everyone is saying that excess carbon dioxide in the air from factories and car exhausts and things of that nature created a whole in the o-zone layer. They claim that they have scientific evidence to back this up. They say, and this is fact, that Americans, between our constant driving and our mass amount of factories releasing carbon dioxide, release the greatest amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere of any country in the world by far. Now, assuming all of this is true, why is the hole in the o-zone layer above the bottom of the Earth, nowhere near America? I mean, unless the Eskimos down there are having some SERIOUS cookouts, it proves the entire theory of carbon dioxide harming the atmosphere wrong and disproves the entire THEORY of %26quot;global warming.%26quot; 20% 4 Votes

that was from 2004, but clearly the USA was the top contributor, followed by China (including Taiwan), and then the entire European union. next is Russia, with less than 1/4 of the CO2 emissions of the US.

as mentioned above, it%26#039;s not all true.
as mentioned in other answers, it%26#039;s the weather in Antarctica that destroys the ozone there.
there is a similar hole in the arctic, but because conditions in the arctic are not as extreme, it%26#039;s far less pronounced.

if you had any integrity, you%26#039;d be embarrassed by now.
somehow i doubt you are.

Edit: It is true, when the polar regions melt, the sea level will rise and drown countries. I have been studying global warming for 7 years already. Who are you to say that all scientists are wrong? I%26#039;m an environmental scientist 5% 1 Vote
