Why doesn%26#039;t Florida have recycling laws?

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

Same reasin Florida has no Emissions laws. People in Florida rely on tourism. Tourism relies on the people from out of state to have a hassle free time while on vacation. Add laws to the state books that give more responsibility to the public and they are afraid people wont come as much. Florida has recycling centers, just lacks the ability to motivate people to do whats right. I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. 24 years. 75% 3 Votes

  • I%26#039;m from Fl. 43 yrs. Born and raised near Mickey. Fl. has become somewhat of a snobbish state. They think giving someone an $8 ticket for dropping a cig. butt in the parking lot is more important than keeping anyone from throwing out bottles and cans. I have wondered, since I got here 2 yrs ago, why fl. didnt have a dep. on cans and bottles. Makes no sense to me. 0% 0 Votes
  • Because the thought of Grandpa sitting in jail because he tossed a bottle in the wrong bin is too much for even the hardest environmentalist to justify. 25% 1 Vote
