Andrew O is right, humidity is a local phenomenon. Interestingly, geologists have theorized that repeated global warming has led to repeated ice ages. The postulated mechanism is:Ice melts in the Arctic Ocean, leaving open water which evaporates. The increased humidity (local) leads to vastly increased precipitation in the form of snow because it%26#039;s still really cold at the poles. The snowfall reflects more sunlight, the earth cools, more snow falls, and you get a new ice age very very quickly. 56% 10 Votes

Humidity is generally a local phenomena and all it really does is generate more rain. More clouds might actually increase the reflectivity of the earth overall to result in a net cooling effect.
