I have a question for Mike R, when did all of the north poles ice melt. Because I must have missed it. Also if that were the case, it had to get pretty cold up there pretty fast for all of that ice to magically re-appear, and even more fascinating would be how it all returned so quickly. :0

SOME PARTS are getting cooler. On average it is a warming effect. The problem is that it changes the dilution of the water which interferes with ocean currents. Look up thermohaline circulation.

at the moment, global warming is happening more in the poles, leaving alot of cooler air in the other places.... which is why michagan has been getting long winters with cool summers... it is hard to understand but...
