I%26#039;m a sophomore in high school so you know that my possibilities are limited.
I am planning on starting a club/non-profit organization that is environmentally oriented. I think we will meet up in the library once every two weeks, but I need ideas on how to get more members and what kind of projects we could do?
Please help!

WRONG! Your possibilities are UNLIMITED! You can do whatever you put your mind to!You want this to work, have an agenda! Change is great. Something different, a topic, a problem to talk about each week. get people in groups. have them come up with ideas like:
%26quot;Ok guys, this week our groups have to find 2 more people to come to the next meeting, and which ever group brings the most people gets their name published on the front page of our news letter as the most involved...
..or something like that
Youre in school!! Thats the best place to start! Projects could include making recycling bins, painting the bins cool colors! things like that.

Contact your local department of conservation or department of natural resources and ask them for information about your area. Many departments of conservation have regular programs at nature centers that involve the public. You can probably get many ideas from the conservation agents. The programs are usually free and very interesting and educational. Many times they use volunteers, too.

Hi,
Well if your starting anything with youths you have to make it interesting. Make it hands on like if you want to desribe what enviromental problems are doing to certain animals then bring that animal in...like woods being cut down, bring in an animal like a bird or squirrel and talk about there loss of habitat.....make up competitions...and have prizes....
