California recycled paper by the pound? How much do we get per pound of paper? We have tons (figuratively) of paper that we want to recycle and we would like to know if it is worth (monetarily) to take them to recycle or give them to someone else? Any help much appreciated!

I used to volunteer at a food ministry, that would collect cardboard and sell it to recyclers to support the ministry.
it takes a lot of paper to make a lot of money.
the last that i heard, they were paying only to 3 cents a pound. jcms 57% 4 Votes

  • Until you have tons (literally) insteat of tons (figuratively), you will have a very tough time selling used paper. Is there a reason you can%26#039;t recycle it curbside? 14% 1 Vote
  • go to www.earth911.org, they can help you find a local recycler that takes paper. Use the weblink or phone number to contact and see what the price is for the type of paper you have. 14% 1 Vote

  • i didn%26#039;t know people bought back paper... our city has a recycling system so you just throw it in the gray bin and they come and take it away. 0% 0 Votes
