Could closed military instillation%26#039;s become centers for renewable Energy? Radar sites on mountain tops are idle. So are dozens of military bases. These sites cover many acres and have good wind and sun exposure. Adjacent neighborhoods should be allowed acesss and permision to build facitlties that would allow the communities self reliance. The second part of the question, how should we go about it?

Sure, why not. Lot%26#039;s of times abandoned military bases are turned over to the closest community nearby. It is up to the city council%26#039;s, county and state gov%26#039;ts to decide what to do with them.
