Did anyone see the article on Yahoo about bottled water versus tap water? Here is a link to the article:

Basically its saying that bottled water is damn near a scam... not to mention incredibly horrific on the environment (which we already knew - plastic bottle production, shipping, trash/ landfills, etc). But I was shocked to know that it is often times, only tap water anyways and secondly that it is often MORE contaminanted that tap water.
How do %26quot;movements%26quot; like the bottled water one begin. How did everyone become brainwashed about it to believe that it is better for you?
AND.. to top it all off.. bottled water is more expensive than GAS!?!?! Wow...

Not all brands are like that, the majority are good. But unfortuneatly soe brands do do what you said.

Mineral water produces the most carbon dioxide. i.e. when it is opened it makes a sound, which is the releasing carbon dioxide. multiply that release by how many people drink it... wow...

People buy bottle water because it is cold =] and easier then findign a tap and a cup to drink. Our pysche has been manipulated to amke us tink it tastes better then normal water. Society simply believes it is better, so it tastes better =[].

Some dishonest water companies take advantage of the successful, honest water companies that have promoted bottled water as pure, cleaner and better water. 0% 0 Votes
