go to www.earth911.org they can help you locate local recycle centers by zipcode. Not all centers pay, so you may have to call or they may have a weblink.

Another great fundraising idea: I contacted our local AAA office and they have been giving me all their old maps, we plan on using them to make gift bags to sell and plan on using the maps for a %26quot;green%26#039; giftwrap fundraiser. Maps can%26#039;t be recycled so using them for giftwrap gives them one more use before they have to go to landfill. Since our only cost will be tape, we will ask for donations.

• In ocala you can recycle aluimnim (cans) at the 3 different sites around town for $$$. Also they do some metal and other materials. But not plastic, there%26#039;s no $$ for that anywhere. Call aorund and find out the address in the phone book. Good LUCK!! Also to the first person%26#039;s comment, who cares if you can make a little $ for a good cause out of recycling, at lest your recycling for the $ not asking people for $$ out of our already dwindling pockets!! U GO, more POWER to U!!!
• There are places where you can get money for aluminum cans, and there might even be a few that pay for newspapers, but I don%26#039;t think you can get money for recycling anything else. Of course it%26#039;s still worth doing it for the sake of the environment whether you get paid or not.
• If you live in the UK then many Tesco stores have recycling points where you can recycle cans and plastic for 1/4 of a clubcard point each. these clubcard points come back to you in the form of vouchers to spend instore or at a number of locations and shops around the country. hope that helps. myself
  
• Depends on where you live. In California, New Hampshire and Michigan most supermarkets have either a recycle kiosk or a reverse vending machine (put the can in, get money back).
• All countries have many factories to recycle
• so, money is the only reason.......and here i thought it to help the environment.....silly me
