Do you think that car exhaust fumes can actually be used to one%26#039;s advantage?
When I see a car%26#039;s exhaust pipe and a factory%26#039;s chimney emit that toxic cloud of black smoke that will poison the air and warm the world, I can%26#039;t help thinking. Couldn%26#039;t that gas actually be useful in some way, instead of putting us all in danger? Maybe we could use it as a source of electricity or fuel or something. After all, don%26#039;t you think that it%26#039;s about time we actually found a use for exhaust gas? Think about it. It%26#039;ll be good for the environment, and for that matter, all humankind.

- Nice suggestions! Short3Gears brought up a nice story too about the car exhaust filling up the air mattress, but he only had one idea and you had two! If only it was possible to actually burn car exhaust fumes so that your cars would not only be environmentally friendly, they%26#039;d run forever, too.

The whole reason it is exhaust is because it is unusable. It can NEVER be used as a fuel. It is what it is and we need to just cut down on the amount we product but you can%26#039;t make it useful.

I have heard of this device that takes the devices in your cars%26#039;s exhaust that improves your gas mileage. Don%26#039;t know the name.

If we can turn manure into an energy source we damn well better be able to turn exhaust fumes into usable energy

Well, I was desperate one night out camping... my air mattress pump broke...!
Well, I hooked the mattress up to my tailpipe and it filled that mattress faster than you would believe!! And I got a good night sleep (ok... stop laughing... it wasn%26#039;t the CO that put me out... ;) It didn%26#039;t leak...
Other than that, I don%26#039;t know how we could harness it... it would take to much energy to compress for storage out of an automobile OR way too much wind resistance for the mile high BALLOON to hold it :)
For non-moving engines, I am SURE that something in exaughst could be recycled, but given the limited NON-MOVING engines... well, I don%26#039;t think you%26#039;ll find too many investors for the research :(
