Does all the paper you recycle actually get recycled? i recycle alot of paper and im wondering does all the paper get recycled? i heard that only 14%of plastic bottles get recycled so is there a percentage of paper getting recycled?

No. And Santa Claus and the tooth fairy and cupid are not real either. There is not much of a market for recycled paper, so much of it gets dumped. The feds require that the local trash collectors give you the opportunity to recycle. There is no requirement that the collection companies actually sell them for recycling. Cool, huh?

• Actually a lot of it is turned into toilet paper, so do what you can. Plastic bottles is another story. That%26#039;s why they make the cheap ones that are meant to be discarded. The thicker plastic bottles can be refilled from a water filter and used for years.
  
  Keep up the good work, but don%26#039;t feel bad if you don%26#039;t recycle all your paper. There are processes now that separate it for you after it%26#039;s taken away by the garbage trucks. It%26#039;s amazing what machines can do these days.
• well, as I am not sure it all gets recycled if I don%26#039;t buy recycled products, I try to buy all my paper recycled--I get toilet paper and kitchen paper from Traidcraft--and I also recycle some newspaper and all egg boxes in my compost heap ! Also all shredded paper goes in there too...Encourage people to buy recycled papers !
