It doesn%26#039;t make much of a difference to the overall percentage of enegry generated from renewable sources. If all the renewable energy goes to ecotricity customers, and those on green tarifs, that means more of the energy going to everyone else.

It%26#039;s all a bit of a sticking plaster like carbon ofsetting. Only way to make your electricity bill more responsible is not to use so much of it!

The only positive side to these tarifs is that they invest in increasing the amount of energy available from renewable means. It wouldn%26#039;t be so damn expensive if there wasn%26#039;t a legal fight against anti-wind nutters every time someone wanted to put up a turbine. 0% 0 Votes
