keep in mind... there have been studies that have shown (and i%26#039;m hoping this information is not outdated) that rolling down the windows actually uses more gas than using the lowest setting on the AC. the open window produces a drag effect and the car requires more fuel to combat the drag produced by the wind.keep your car well maintained and the AC will be more effective quicker. i have a 2003 neon, and the AC is cool by the time i reach the end of my block. 40% 2 Votes

yes! when I visit my mom and dad in Texas, I hate getting in the car with them. They turn the AC on so high that my eyes dry out and water. I even have to carry a coat with me in the car when it%26#039;s over 100 outside!

it depends, if i am really hot and sweaty then I would much rather prefer the A/C and it doesn%26#039;t bother me. But if its just warm and I am not boiling hot, then turning on the A/C is just being wasteful and I agree that fresh air is so much smarter and simpler.

I hate it more when I open my windows and sunroof and get a big whiff of cigarette smoke from the car in front of me at a red light! That is when I turn on air conditioning when its still cool outside, and it annoys me to do that!

yessir. air conditioning is too cold anyways. blasting tunes is more fun with the windows open and your hand on the roof.

Kind of. Well in my car the air condtioning works fine and if i roll the window down you wont get that much air but you cool down.
