If there is any polyester in the denim, shredding will gum up and go on fire.

It takes only an occasional garment with polyester to mess up the whole lot.

• Any shredding service that uses a grinder can do this for you. I am assuming by large quantities you are talking about pallets full.
• Perhps a wood-chipper...
• How about large numbers of big dogs?
• just cut it up, you save money
