Have you had any problems with Aveda shampoos/conditioners? Its irritating my scalp, and there are a few itchy spots that almost seem to have a small scab, maybe because I itched it. I just switched from regular shampoo to Aveda, because its better for the environment and I thought it would be better for my body, too.
Anyone else had a bad experience with Aveda or know why this is happening? Thanks.

I did once once with the Tea tree Shampoo, it made my scalp burn, but I think it was because I had just colored and permed my hair. Try using a gentle baby shampoo for a few days and then see if you can use the shampoo, if it still stings you may have a form of an allergic reaction and may want to switch to another organic type, Whole foods as well as wild oats have wonderful shampoos that are good and don%26#039;t irrate the scalp

I never considered I might be allergic to a natural ingredient, but perhaps this is the case. Thanks!

  • I didn%26#039;t, but it could be different for each product on different people. I have never had any problems with it, and I know a lot of people who have also never had problems, even the ones from hotels don%26#039;t irritate my skin.
You could try another product from them, or just switch back to what you used before.
  • I%26#039;m allergic to tea tree oil. Maybe you are allergic to one of the many natural ingredients. I switched to a shampoo I buy online.
