I installed them 2 years ago, and yes they do take a little longer to come to full light, just like any other florescent bulb, or tube.But my electric bill dropped $10 the next month.
so they paid for them selves in less than 2 months.

The newer ones seem to have a better color and not wash out colors so much. There is a definite savings in electricity that our family has noticed. Sometimes you can get them on sale or on a old lightbulb exchange program

yes i have them and they work great! The compact florescent bulbs last very long even though they are so bright so just use a lamp shade! They make you fell very enviromentally friendly!

In UK yes. Don%26#039;t think much of them. They are a small flouresent tube and there is a delay between swtiching on and lighting up, not a big one but enough to irritate slightly
