Hey Green folks, I%26#039;m in need of some new shoes. Any thoughts on Environmentally friendly casual shoes? I%26#039;m also looking for flip-flops.

Cash is always short so bear price in mind. I normally wear flip-flops (Teva mush) but I%26#039;m sure there are some low cost green options.

Barefoot is great, but I live in Phoenix and having blisters and burns on the bottom of your feet while you chase a 3 year old is really painful.

buy used shoes from a thrift store...i have not bought a new pair of shoes in 12 years....when you buy used, you are not contributing to any %26quot;new polution%26quot; in the making....and, it is easy on the wallet

I was looking for green brands, but the thrift option was well thought out.

  • any rubber soled and natural fabric top are mostly green types. moreover its usually much cheaper...these are chinese made and I%26#039;m using a pair for jogging, its really comfortable and the price won%26#039;t bother you ! alibaba.com
  • i think c ya was joking, but actually clogs are very comfy (the soft top ones, not the all wood ones!).

2nd hand is the greenest option.
  • You know they would say that barefoot is the best right?

    Edit:
    Then flip-flops are the best.
  • Hey good enquiry! Roll back to nature. I%26#039;m sure you will find one made of wood better for you.
