How can I recycle my old batteries and ink cartridges?
I have a wireless mouse and it takes batteries but after I use the batteries I don%26#039;t know what to do with them same thing with the ink. I don%26#039;t want to just throw them out so what should I do?

You can take them to any Walgreen drug store and turn them into the photo dept. I would suggest that you purchase rechargable batteries for your wireless mouse. You will save alot of money. They can also refill ink cartridges, once tested, and if in working condition. Another savings. Walgreen%26#039;s are everywhere, so check them out. Hope this helps.
Batteries can be placed in a ziplock bag and put in your recycle bin.
Staples will recyle printer Ink cartridges and give you $3/cartridge for future purchase. You will probably need to enroll in the Staples Rewards Program b/c they issue the credit as %26quot;reward dollars%26quot;. It makes for great savings on purchasing cartridges!

You can take the batteries to an electronics store like Radio Shack or Batteries Plus. Some charities recycle ink cartridges. My church has a collection box for them. Some of the stationary stores will take them and give you a discount on new ones. Check Office Max, Office Depot, and Staples in your area.
All bigger cities have recycling centers. You may check in the Yellow pages or just call your city offices and they should be able to direct you. In addition, there are many businesses that refill ink cartridges, like Walgreens. Office Depot accepts ink cartridges for recycling too. I guess it depends where you live and what businesses do these type of service.
Hello.
Used printer cartridges / Inkjets (Not Epson) / lasers / mobile phones. These are recycled and proceeds go to EACH (East Anglia Children Hospices). I am based in Halstead but am happy to collect from you or your place of business. I am also happy to leave an %26#039;EACH%26#039; box for you to keep the cartridges ready for collection. I look forward to hearing from you.....Julie :)

To save the earth use rechargeable batteries so you don%26#039;t end up having to worry about the batteries. And the ink cartridges you can bring to Staples and you will get $3.00 off your next perches on your ink cartridge.

Call or stop by your nearest PetsMart. I live in Arlington TX and our PetsMart has a display near the door that you pick up the postage paid bag and drop your cartridges in.
Check it out - homeless animals will benefit!
Your local waste department should have a Household Hazardous Waste Program that will take them and most have the drop off information on their website.
Have you ever thought about using rechargeable batteries.Would save you pounds and is better for the environment.
